Happy Hanukkah

Hanukkah is rich with Religious and Symbolic Traditions that celebrate the miracle of the Maccabees’ victory and the enduring light of a single day's oil lasting eight days. Central to the observance is the lighting of the Menorah, a nine-branched candelabra where one candle is lit each night, accompanied by the shamash or helper candle. Each lighting is preceded by specific blessings, grounding the ritual in reverence and reflection. Traditional activities such as playing dreidel, exchanging gelt (often chocolate coins), singing songs like "Maoz Tzur," and enjoying oil-fried foods like latkes and sufganiyot connect families to the historical and Spiritual Significance of the Holiday.
